ChickPea ‘Chana’ chaat recipe

A quick brunch, a quick snack is what we sometimes need when we are too busy or when we are too lazy. The recipe of Chickpea ‘chana’ chaat is a quick one if you have leftover boiled chickpeas and not so quick if you do not have leftover boiled Chickpeas. Ok…enough of contradictions. Lets come to the recipe details.

Chickpeas are rich in fiber, calcium and protein too. These are suitable to everyone from the diabetic to normal folks since they have a low GI. They can be a good source of calcium and protein for vegans.

Ingredients for chana chaat:

  • Boiled white chana (Chikpeas) – 1 cup
  • Onion – 1 small
  • Tomato – 1 medium
  • Cucumber – 1/2
  • Lemon – 1
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Red chilli – 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
  • Amchoor powder – a pinch
  • Green chilli – 1

Recipe:

  1. Cut onion, tomatoes and cucumber in small dices.
  2. Mix boiled chickpea with all ingredients and squeeze lemon over it and serve.
